The place people name first when you ask where to eat nasi lemak, Malaysia's national dish.

What stays with me is how juicy the chicken is. Fried golden and fragrant outside, it spills its juices the moment you bite in. The rice, cooked in coconut milk, is soft and fragrant, and with the spicy sambal each flavour lifts the other.

There's a long row of side dishes too, and choosing what to add is half the fun.

Next time, I want to try a mix of sides I haven't had yet.
