A creative Chinese restaurant in Aman Suria, Petaling Jaya. It takes Malaysian-Chinese cooking as its base and brings in touches from Japan, India and France.
The first thing I want to say about this place is that every dish that comes out is of high quality. This time we ordered the fried quail, the grilled fish of the day and a grilled meat dish. The quail arrives at the table inside a bamboo birdcage, so the fun starts the moment the lid comes off. The fish is that day's catch, grilled and served with a sauce. Every plate was made with care, one by one, and the satisfaction lasted right to the end.
It opened in May 2025, so it is still fairly new. Behind the brick front, the dining room is decorated with old Chinese furniture and calligraphy, and round tables with lazy Susans fill the floor. There is an open kitchen where the cooks work the wok, and dishes come on large plates for everyone to share.
A place I'd pick for an evening when a few of us get together and want to try a little of lots of different dishes.
