Nasi Lemak Shop (Bandar Utama)

A place where you can enjoy nasi lemak, of course, and plenty of other Malaysian dishes too.

This time I ordered the nasi lemak and the prawn mee. The signature is nasi lemak topped with spiced fried chicken, and you can also pick other sides such as sambal squid or beef rendang. The noodle menu is generous as well: alongside prawn mee there is asam laksa and mee siam. It's nice to be able to choose between rice and noodles.

The shop sits in a row of shop lots in Bandar Utama, just near 1 Utama. It started here in 2023 and has since grown into a popular name, with branches at Mid Valley and Pavilion. There is often a queue at lunchtime, so going a little off-peak is a good idea.

Easy to use on a day you want nasi lemak, and just as good when you're with someone who'd rather eat something else.
