Matsudo Tomita Menban (KITTE Marunouchi)
The Tokyo outpost of Chuka Soba Tomita, the famous ramen shop in Matsudo. It sits on the basement floor of KITTE Marunouchi, right by Tokyo Station.
What stayed with me was how much flavour the tsukemen noodles have on their own. Dip them in the thick broth and they pick up a deep, concentrated seafood richness. It isn't only the tsukemen: every bowl here is made with real care. Above all, the slow, low-temperature chashu is a must.
The main shop in Matsudo has been named the best in Japan several times by ramen awards. The noodles are made in-house from their own flour blend, and the chashu uses Kashiwa Genso Pork from Chiba.
If you're at Tokyo Station and can't decide between tsukemen and ramen, come here. You won't go wrong.
