Ipoh Ipoh (SS2)

A place for Ipoh-style local food in SS2, Petaling Jaya. There's a wide range of local dishes, and it's as easy to sit down in as a café.

I came for the popular kai si hor fun (flat rice noodles topped with shredded chicken and prawns). The flavour isn't the kind that wins you over in one bite; it's a place where you order around and find what you like. With so many local dishes, you can work out your own favourite little by little.

Eric Lee, who is from Ipoh, opened it in 2020. As a child he helped out at his aunt's kai si hor fun stall. He brings ingredients in directly from Ipoh whenever he can. The signature broth is made from pork bones and old hen with fried prawns, simmered for more than ten hours. There's another shop in Sri Petaling.
